Yves Bonnard is a founding partner of Bonnard Lawson. He is mainly active in the private client services department.
For over two decades, he has focused his practice on organizing and administering wealth for international families from Western Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia, mostly residing out of Switzerland.
His core activities revolve around wealth structuring, international succession planning, tax planning, and trust administration. Yves Bonnard’s multifaceted expertise makes him an invaluable advisor in navigating the complexities of international wealth organization and related legal matters. His close collaboration with the Swiss private banking industry further enhances his ability to serve clients effectively.
Given the firm’s involvement in the art world, Yves Bonnard also provides legal advice to collectors, galleries, artists, and artists’ families.
Over the years, Yves Bonnard has also gained extensive experience in international business, private equity transactions, and venture capital. He serves and has actively served on the boards of numerous companies across diverse fields, including private clinics, medtech, biotech, proptech, and other emerging technologies.
Additionally, he has established and advises several charitable institutions in Switzerland and abroad, actively serving as a board member to oversee their development.
Yves Bonnard holds a licence in Swiss law from the University of Lausanne and an LLM is US taxation from the University of Denver. He is married and a father of four children. He was a captain in the Swiss military forces.
