Crystal Dubois is an Attorney-at-Law working as a Senior Associate in the Bonnard Lawson Tech team, a division of Bonnard Lawson specialized in innovation and technology law.
Her practice focuses on emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), data protection and security, and Web 3 and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). She also advises on Intellectual Property (IP), fintech, Internet Communications Technology (ICT), financial market law, corporate law, art law, and philanthropy and impact ventures. She is part of expert working groups, and a member of associations in the cultural space.
As a Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), Crystal Dubois provides guidance on AI regulatory compliance, responsible AI frameworks, liability, data protection, IP protection and legal agreements to clients ranging from AI model developers, AI system providers and deployers, and content creators. She sits on the board of the AI Transparency Institute, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the responsible development of AI through independent research, assessment, education and advocacy.
Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Crystal Dubois initially worked in the media and advertising technology industry in London as a digital strategist. She then served as a data protection specialist in a pharmaceutical company and for an academic program. Crystal Dubois co-founded a boutique art advisory agency and was involved in various projects, including organizing conferences, working with startups programs, collaborating with entrepreneurs from various sectors, producing a podcast, and undertaking consulting projects.
Crystal Dubois pursued her law studies at the University of Lausanne and the University of Geneva, specializing in economic law, financial markets law, international commercial litigation, and philanthropic structures. She also holds a Master’s in Management (MPhil Management) from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School, allowing her to anticipate business challenges and integrate a strategic dimension into her legal practice.
Prior to joining Bonnard Lawson, Crystal Dubois worked in a large business law firm in Geneva.
